Top 4 Fridays! 4 Physioball Exercises for Strong Core and Lumbar Resilience

Best Physioball Exercises for Strong Core and Lumbar Resilience - themanualtherapist.com

🧱 Strength development in the core and trunk muscles is a vital component within a well-rounded strength and conditioning program. A physioball can be a valuable tool to use when attempting to develop a strong core.

🔑One primary function of the spine is to prevent motion in a stabilizing effort. One example of this can be seen in the anti-extension pattern where the spine and core muscles are attempting to avoid extending and arching of the low/mid back.

🎯Anti-extension is one of many core strength patterns to train, but it's certainly an important one. Below is a series of progressions you can use for anti-extension core strength training with a physioball.

🔥Progression series:

1. Physioball Stir the Pot

2. Physioball Push-Pull

3. Physioball Knee Tuck

4. Physioball Pike
